Dolomol Information

Dolomol is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Syrup, Tablet. Fever, Headache, Pain are some of its major therapeutic uses. Secondary and off-label uses of Dolomol have also been mentioned below.

What is the treatment for Dolomol poisoning?

As we know Dolomol is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Dolomol ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Dolomol poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
