Hot and cold water treatment is very effective in the treatment of foot pain. Hot treatment increases blood flow and cold water reduces swelling of the feet.

How to use hot and cold water –

  • Fill one bucket with cold water and another with hot water. Now sit on a comfortable chair and put your feet in hot water for three minutes and do the same process with cold water for ten seconds or a few minutes. Keep doing this process for two to three minutes and finally put your feet in cold water.
  • Apart from this, you can also put a hot cloth or cold bag on your feet for ten minutes.

Vinegar is used in various treatments and also provides relief from pain caused by sprain or strain.

Use vinegar in two ways –
First way –

  • Fill a bucket with hot water. Add two teaspoons of vinegar to it.
  • You can also add sea salt or rock salt to it.
  • If you do not have any of these types of salt available, then you can also use ordinary salt.
  • Now keep your feet in it for twenty minutes.

Second method -

  • Apart from this, take hot and cold water in two different buckets and add equal amounts of vinegar in both of them.
  • Now put a towel in hot water and squeeze it tightly.
  • Then apply this towel on your feet.
  • Keep the towel wrapped for five minutes.
  • Do the same process with cold water as well.
  • Repeat this process three to four times daily.

Epsom salt helps in relieving your foot pain. The combination of heat and Epsom salt which is mainly magnesium helps in relaxing the feet and reducing pain.

How to use Epsom salt -

  • Add two or three teaspoons of Epsom salt in a bucket of hot water.
  • Now keep your feet in it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Using this salt can make your feet dry, so do not forget to apply moisturizer on your feet after use.

Ice therapy helps you get relief from foot pain and swelling. After crushing the ice, tie it in a cloth and then apply it on your affected areas. The ice will numb the nerves in your feet, which will make your pain and swelling disappear. Do not keep the ice pack applied for more than ten minutes. Use red chili in two ways -

First way -

  • If your feet ache after getting cold, then put a pinch of red chili in them before wearing socks.

  • Apart from this, take hot water in a bucket and add one or half a teaspoon of red pepper to it.
  • Now keep your feet in it for a few minutes.

If you have foot pain due to stress, sprain, cut or swelling, then sage is used for discomfort. It also relieves foot odor.

How to use sage -

  • Rub a handful of sage leaves with your hands and then put it in a vessel.
  • Add half a cup of apple cider vinegar to it.
  • Now put this mixture to boil for five.
  • Now keep this mixture to become lukewarm.
