Interaction between Alcohol and Trifect
Consumption of alcohol and Trifect together may have severe effects on your health.
Trifect is primarily used to reduce pain and fever. It can a for other conditions such as a headache, muscle aches, backache, toothaches, and colds.
Trifect is a brand name for paracetamol. It is an analgesic and antipyretic medication used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever. Even WHO has considered this drug to be an essential medicine for basic healthcare requirements. Paracetamol is one of the most commonly used 'over-the-counter' medicine. It is often prescribed as one of the first-line treatment options for pain and fever with minimum side effects.
As we know Trifect is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Trifect ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Trifect poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
No harmful interactions have been reported between Trifect and codeine. Do not take it until and unless prescribed. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant medicinal side effects such as nausea, stomach pain, and tremors after taking Trifect. Inform your doctor immediately.
Trifect is not recommended for back pain. However, It can be taken along with a painkiller for the treatment of back pain.
