Interaction between Food and Parabig Tablet

Interaction between Alcohol and Parabig Tablet
Consumption of alcohol and Parabig Tablet together may have severe effects on your health.
Although it's believed that Parabig works mainly in the central nervous system (Brain and Spine). It prevents the release of prostaglandin, which is responsible for increasing pain and body temperature. It effectively reduces the intensity of pain signals to the brain.
Parabig is primarily used to reduce pain and fever. It can a for other conditions such as a headache, muscle aches, backache, toothaches, and colds.
As we know Parabig is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Parabig ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Parabig poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
No harmful interactions have been reported between Parabig and codeine. Do not take it until and unless prescribed. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant medicinal side effects such as nausea, stomach pain, and tremors after taking Parabig. Inform your doctor immediately.
You should take the minimum effective dose of Parabig that reduces body pain and fever. It should be used for the shortest time period till you get relief. Take it as per doctor's advice do not exceed dosage. Ideally, 1 or 2 tablets (500 mg) every four to six hours can be safely taken, do not take more than four doses in 24 hours. Please note paracetamol 500 mg tablet should not be given to children below 10 years until and unless prescribed by a child specialist.
