Yes, you can take Gercip for UTI infection. It is the first-line drug for treating UTI infection. It is active against the bacteria which causes UTI infection. However, you must follow all the instruction and direction written on the prescription and do not discontinue medication without consulting your doctor.
It is recommended to avoid taking Gercip with azithromycin because it can cause problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
