Interaction between Alcohol and Eldequin

Eldequin used to treat several bacterial infections, like urinary tract infection (UTI), pneumonia, bone, and joint infection, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, otitis externa, prostatitis, anthrax, and bacterial infection of the eye. It is not effective for treating any viral infections such as cold, and flu.
Eldequin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the bacterial cell division for this it stops the working of enzyme which is responsible for cell division. It is effective against a large number of bacteria, even those bacteria which is other drugs to resistant.
Eldequin is not recommended as the first-line of a drug for treating a sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it. Keep your doctor informed.
Eldequin should not be taken together. Harmful drug-drug interaction has been reported between them. Please let your doctor know that you are on warfarin if he/she has prescribed Eldequin to you.
It is recommended to avoid taking Eldequin with ibuprofen, because it may increase the risk of side effects associated with the central nervous system. Hence you must consult a doctor before taking these two medicines together.
