Castor is a prescription drug, available for use as Drops. It is primarily used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bacterial Infections. The alternative uses of Castor have also been explained below.

Interaction between Food and Castor
The side effects of taking Castor with certain foods can be serious. Contact your doctor about this.
Interaction between Alcohol and Castor
Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol while taking Castor as it can have severe side effects.
Castor can be taken with tramadol. No harmful drug interactions have been reported between them. However, It doesn't mean that no interaction exists between these two medicines when taken together. If you feel any discomfort after taking the two together, inform your doctor immediately.
Do not take Castor along with dairy products such as milk or yogurt or calcium-containing foods. Dairy products may affect the absorption of the medicine directly affecting the efficacy of this drug. Hence, avoid taking Castor with calcium-rich foods.
Castor is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the bacterial cell division for this it stops the working of enzyme which is responsible for cell division. It is effective against a large number of bacteria, even those bacteria which is other drugs to resistant.
Castor used to treat several bacterial infections, like urinary tract infection (UTI), pneumonia, bone, and joint infection, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, otitis externa, prostatitis, anthrax, and bacterial infection of the eye. It is not effective for treating any viral infections such as cold, and flu.
It is recommended to avoid taking Castor with ibuprofen, because it may increase the risk of side effects associated with the central nervous system. Hence you must consult a doctor before taking these two medicines together.
