Ciprit is a brand name for ciprofloxacin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called fluoroquinolones. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary, respiratory, skin, gastrointestinal, anthrax, and bone infections.
Ciprit used to treat several bacterial infections, like urinary tract infection (UTI), pneumonia, bone, and joint infection, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, otitis externa, prostatitis, anthrax, and bacterial infection of the eye. It is not effective for treating any viral infections such as cold, and flu.
Ciprit can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some patient. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from tendon rupture or any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
