Interaction between Food and Renofen

Interaction between Alcohol and Renofen
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Renofen with alcohol.
During pain caused due to an injury, the brain releases a chemical known as prostaglandins. This chemical is also often responsible for causing fever, swelling or inflammation. Ibuprofen blocks the synthesis of this chemical and exerts its action.
Renofen is available in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet, suspension and drops, and syrup. Prescription Renofen is taken every 4 to 6 hours for arthritis and pain. Adults and children older than 12 years may take non-prescription Renofen every 4 to 6 hours. Children and infants may be given Renofen every 6 to 8 hours. It is important to take Renofen with food or milk so as to prevent stomach upset. If you are taking Renofen every day, remember to take it at the same time. Renofen is also available in combination with other drugs for treating cold and cough. If you have prescribed a combination containing Renofen, do not take any non-prescription drug containing Renofen as it might cause overdosage. Shake the drops and suspensions well before use.
Yes, Renofen can cause weight gain. Weight gain is one of the adverse effects of taking it as it causes fluid retention or worsens the existing fluid retention.
