Interaction between Alcohol and Brufamol Tablet
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Brufamol Tablet and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Brufamol is available in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet, suspension and drops, and syrup. Prescription Brufamol is taken every 4 to 6 hours for arthritis and pain. Adults and children older than 12 years may take non-prescription Brufamol every 4 to 6 hours. Children and infants may be given Brufamol every 6 to 8 hours. It is important to take Brufamol with food or milk so as to prevent stomach upset. If you are taking Brufamol every day, remember to take it at the same time. Brufamol is also available in combination with other drugs for treating cold and cough. If you have prescribed a combination containing Brufamol, do not take any non-prescription drug containing Brufamol as it might cause overdosage. Shake the drops and suspensions well before use.
During pain caused due to an injury, the brain releases a chemical known as prostaglandins. This chemical is also often responsible for causing fever, swelling or inflammation. Ibuprofen blocks the synthesis of this chemical and exerts its action.
Dizziness is a feeling of light-headedness and unbalance. Yes, Brufamol has been associated with dizziness and overdose may cause fainting as well. Therefore, if you experience dizziness do not force yourself to perform any activity instead lie down take rest and inform your doctor if it persists for more than half an hour.
Brufamol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is used for the treatment of tenderness, swelling, stiffness, and pain associated with osteoarthritis in which there is a breakdown of the lining of the joints, and rheumatoid arthritis in which there is swelling of the lining of the joints. It is also used for alleviation of the menstrual pain, before and during the menstrual cycle. It is also used to relieve fever and pain associated with a headache, minor aches, sprains, common cold, toothache, and backache. It also shows the antiplatelet effect which means it prevents the formation of blood clots. Brufamol is used for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (a chronic skin disease causing scaling and swelling), gouty arthritis (which develops from the built up of some chemical in the joints) and ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that affects the spine).
