Interaction between Food and Sonaderm GM
Taking Sonaderm GM with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Sonaderm GM
Drinking alcohol while on Sonaderm GM does not produce side effects. However, it is in your best interest to be careful.
Sonaderm GM should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Sonaderm GM should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
Sonaderm GM contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way Sonaderm GM prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
Yes, Sonaderm GM might cause hair loss (alopecia). It is a rare side effect of this drug and the exact cause behind hair loss is unknown. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair solution such as minoxidil.
