Ibulet Plus is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is used for the treatment of tenderness, swelling, stiffness, and pain associated with osteoarthritis in which there is a breakdown of the lining of the joints, and rheumatoid arthritis in which there is swelling of the lining of the joints. It is also used for alleviation of the menstrual pain, before and during the menstrual cycle. It is also used to relieve fever and pain associated with a headache, minor aches, sprains, common cold, toothache, and backache. It also shows the antiplatelet effect which means it prevents the formation of blood clots. Ibulet Plus is used for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (a chronic skin disease causing scaling and swelling), gouty arthritis (which develops from the built up of some chemical in the joints) and ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that affects the spine).
No, Ibulet Plus does not contain any sulfa moeity. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Painkillers like Ibulet Plus should not be used if there is decreased kidney function as they may reduce the supply of blood to the kidneys. Also, long-term use can also impair the normal kidneys. Ibulet Plus is available in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet, suspension and drops, and syrup. Prescription Ibulet Plus is taken every 4 to 6 hours for arthritis and pain. Adults and children older than 12 years may take non-prescription Ibulet Plus every 4 to 6 hours. Children and infants may be given Ibulet Plus every 6 to 8 hours. It is important to take Ibulet Plus with food or milk so as to prevent stomach upset. If you are taking Ibulet Plus every day, remember to take it at the same time. Ibulet Plus is also available in combination with other drugs for treating cold and cough. If you have prescribed a combination containing Ibulet Plus, do not take any non-prescription drug containing Ibulet Plus as it might cause overdosage. Shake the drops and suspensions well before use.
