Zo D is a prescription drug, available for use as Drops. Other than this, Zo D has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Zo D. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.
The side effects typically associated with Zo D include Skin scar, Dryness, Itching or burning. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Zo D as well, which are listed below. Such side effects of Zo D normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.
It is also important to note that Zo D has a Severe effect for pregnant women and Severe effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Zo D's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Zo D related warnings section.
Zo D is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure, Myasthenia Gravis (MG) as it can result in adverse effects. Other contraindications of Zo D have been discussed in the sections ahead.

Is the use of Zo D safe for pregnant women?
Zo D has many dangerous side effects in pregnant women. If you are pregnant, do not consume Zo D without medical advice.

Zo D should not be taken without taking your doctor's advice, as it may have severe side effects on breastfeeding women.
What is the effect of Zo D on the Kidneys?
There can be some harmful effects on your kidneys after taking Zo D. If you witness any side effects, discontinue its use. Consult your medical practitioner, do as he/she suggests.
What is the effect of Zo D on the Liver?
You may experience side effects on your liver after taking Zo D. If this happens, then discontinue its use. Consult your medical practitioner, do as he/she suggests.

Interaction between Food and Zo D
Due to a lack of research, nothing can be said about the consequences of taking Zo D together with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Zo D
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Zo D with alcohol will be.
Zo D is a brand name of ofloxacin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called fluoroquinolones. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary, respiratory, skin, gastrointestinal, anthrax, bone, and eye infections.
Zo D is not recommended as the first-line of drug for treating sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it, after doctor's advice.
Zo D can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Take Zo D as directed by your doctor. Do not take this medicine longer than prescribed.
Take Zo D if your doctor has prescribed it to you. However, keep a close check on blood sugar levels as metformin is known to cause hypoglycemia( sudden dip in blood sugar levels). In case you are experiencing severe hypoglycemia, please inform your doctor immediately.
