Yes, Moxicip is helpful in treating pneumonia. It is used in the treatment of commnunity acquired pneumonia caused by bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Chlamydophilia pneumoniae. The duration of treatment depends on infection severity and patients medical condition but it is generally given for 7-14 days.
No, Moxicip does not cover MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) infections. It is only effective against methicillin-susceptible strains only.
Yes, Moxicip can be used for UTI (urinary tract infection) caused by bacteria Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. However, it is not generally preferred as a first line drug of choice for the treatment of UTI. It is only prescribed in UTI when other drugs are not effective in treating the infection.
