Tyfoxin, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bacterial Infections. Secondary and off-label uses of Tyfoxin have also been mentioned below.
The right dosage of Tyfoxin depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

Tyfoxin may have some side effects during pregnancy. Pregnant women should discontinue the use of Tyfoxin, and talk to their doctor, if they notice any discomfort.
Is the use of Tyfoxin safe during breastfeeding?
Women who are breastfeeding can experience some moderate side effects of Tyfoxin. Immediately discontinue Tyfoxin if you observe any side effects. Contact your doctor, and restart using it only if your doctor considers it safe for you.
What is the effect of Tyfoxin on the Kidneys?
Tyfoxin has very mild side effects on the kidneys.

After taking Tyfoxin, you should not drive or work on any heavy machine, as Tyfoxin can make you drowsy.
Is it safe?
Yes, but consume Tyfoxin only on doctor's advice.
Is it able to treat mental disorders?
There is no benefit of taking Tyfoxin for mental disorders.
Interaction between Food and Tyfoxin
Using Tyfoxin with some foods may lead to harmful effects. Take your doctor's advice on this.
Interaction between Alcohol and Tyfoxin
Taking alcohol with Tyfoxin can be dangerous.
Tyfoxin can be taken with tramadol. No harmful drug interactions have been reported between them. However, It doesn't mean that no interaction exists between these two medicines when taken together. If you feel any discomfort after taking the two together, inform your doctor immediately.
Tyfoxin is not recommended as the first-line of a drug for treating a sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it. Keep your doctor informed.
Tyfoxin should not be taken together. Harmful drug-drug interaction has been reported between them. Please let your doctor know that you are on warfarin if he/she has prescribed Tyfoxin to you.
Tyfoxin can increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture in some patient. However, the exact mechanism of tendon rupture is not known. If you suffer from tendon rupture or any kind of muscular pain after consuming this drug, please consult your doctor immediately.
It is recommended to avoid taking Tyfoxin with azithromycin because it can cause problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
