Precautions must be taken in patients with hypothyroidism, cirrhosis, hypertension, congestive heart failure, ulcerative colitis, thromboembolic disorders, osteoporosis, glaucoma, diabetes, peptic ulcer. Your doctor may tell you to follow low-sodium, low-salt, potassium-rich, or high-protein diet if you are taking Tobram D.
Yes, use of Tobram D for long-term can result in weight gain due to increased appetite and fluid retention which causes weight gain in the patient, if the drug is taken in form of a tablet.
Tobram D if taken in tablet form might cause hiccups, but it has been mainly associated with patients who received chemotherapy.
