Bapter is available as a capsule and tablet to be taken by mouth in an empty stomach because food can delay the absorption of this drug and also decrease its bioavailability. Precaution must be taken in the patient with prostate cancer, sulfa allergy, and Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome.
No, Bapter is not a diuretic. It is rather an alpha-blocker that relaxes the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.
Yes, Bapter is used for the expulsion of large kidney stones. It is presumed that Bapter helps in expulsion of kidney stones by relaxing the ureter and reducing the ureteral spasm which allows easy passage of the stone.
