Ambrolite D is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Syrup. It is primarily used for the treatment of Cough, Common Cold. Other than this, Ambrolite D has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Ambrolite D is related to codeine and is a non-opioid derivative of morphine. From gastrointestinal tract it passes into the bloodstream, crosses the blood-brain barrier and suppresses the cough center, bringing relief to the patient.
