    No, Clonate alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Clonate is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clonate should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Clonate and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.

    How to apply Clonate?

    Clonate should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Clonate should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.

    Does Clonate cause dry skin?

    Yes, Clonate might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Clonate can be absorbed by the skin.
