Interaction between Food and Zofacin
It is safe to take Zofacin with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Zofacin
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Zofacin with alcohol.
If you are allergic to Zofacin then do not take it. If you have already taken it and you are experiencing allergic reactions do not delay inform your doctor immediately.
No harmful interactions are found between Zofacin and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Zofacin.
Clinically no any harmful interaction has been reported between Zofacin and oral contraceptive pills. However, the interaction between these two can't be completely ignored. Please consult your doctor before taking these two medicines at the same time.
Zofacin is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
