No, Exel GN alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Exel GN is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Yes, Exel GN might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Exel GN can be absorbed by the skin.
