Interaction between Alcohol and Clovate Gn
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Clovate Gn with alcohol.
No, Clovate GN alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Clovate GN is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clovate GN should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Clovate GN and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Yes, Clovate GN might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Clovate GN is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.
Yes, Clovate GN might cause hair loss (alopecia). It is a rare side effect of this drug and the exact cause behind hair loss is unknown. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair solution such as minoxidil.
Application of Clovate GN on the face must be avoided but if it has been advised by your doctor then you can use it only for a short-term period not more than 5 days because the skin on your face thins easily.
