Yes, Salizer may be used for contact dermatitis caused by poison ivy because it can provide relief from swelling, itching, and redness.
No, Salizer alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Salizer is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Salizer should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Salizer and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Yes, Salizer might be used for the treatment of lichen sclerosus (LS) which is a skin condition that causes thinning of the skin and white patches, generally in the genital area. Clinical studies have found Salizer to be effective in the treatment of lichen sclerosus (LS).
Application of Salizer on the face must be avoided but if it has been advised by your doctor then you can use it only for a short-term period not more than 5 days because the skin on your face thins easily.
Salizer is used for the short-term treatment up to 2 weeks and if required then maximum up to 4 weeks. You are advised to use it as directed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine longer than prescribed by your doctor to avoid the unpleasant side effect.
