Dr. B. K. Agrawal MBBS, MD , Cardiology, General Physician, Internal Medicine

No, Cortaz alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Cortaz is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Cortaz should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Cortaz and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
