The bacterial growth in the gut can be caused due to decreased acid secretion in the stomach which allow growth of bacteria in the gut which can move into the lungs through breathing. Yes, Rancor is useful for preventing painkiller (NSAID) induced gastric ulcer. Taking painkillers for a long time may cause stomach pain, weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. Please consult your doctor.
Yes, Rancor is found to increase the uric acid level in blood and cause the gout-like symptom such as pain in the joint, redness, and inflammation of joint. Regular uric acid level monitoring is needed if you are taking this medicine for the longest time.
Rancor is not directly used for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is given if acid secretion increases due to IBS. IBS is managed by a combination of drug therapy like antispasmodic ( to relieve stomach pain), laxatives ( to relieve constipation), and antimotility drugs ( to relieve diarrhea).
