Yes, Ranazy is safe to use, if taken a prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor. However, few side effects are observed such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain. If you feel above mention side effects after taking medicine, please consult your doctor right away and follow his/her instructions.
No harmful interactions are found between Ranazy and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Ranazy.
Ranazy is a brand name for azithromycin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat a bacterial infection such as throat infection, respiratory tract infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases. It is also sometimes coupled with other antibiotics and medications to effectively treat infections such as Mycobacterium avium complex infection.
Ranazy is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
Clinically no any harmful interaction has been reported between Ranazy and oral contraceptive pills. However, the interaction between these two can't be completely ignored. Please consult your doctor before taking these two medicines at the same time.
