Yes, Paramax P comes in combination with codeine. The combination is used to relieve the runny or stuffy nose, sneezing and other symptoms caused by an allergy or a common cold. Paramax P acts as an antihistamine agent by working against histamine released by the body. Histamine is responsible for symptoms like itching, watery eyes, runny nose, etc. Codeine, on the other hand, is a narcotic. It acts as a pain relieving agent by working on the central nervous system.
Paramax P is available in the form of injectable, tablets and syrups to be taken orally, as a suppository to be taken rectally. When taken for treating allergies, it is taken 1 to 4 times a day usually before meals or at bedtime. When used for treating cold, it is taken every 4 to 6 hours. When used for treating motion sickness, it is taken 30 to 60 minutes before travel and again after 8 to 10 hours if required. Paramax P might also be taken at bedtime before surgery to feel relaxed and sleep properly. The suppositories are meant for rectal use. Do not use them in any other body cavity. If using Paramax P liquid, avoid using a household spoon and use the measuring cup that is dispensed with the syrup. The Paramax P should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Yes, Paramax P can cause irregularities in the blood pressure. It may increase or decrease blood pressure. It can also cause dizziness, bradycardia ( extremely slow heart rate)and tachycardia (very high heart rate). If such abnormalities occur, it is important that you talk to your doctor immediately.
