Interaction between Alcohol and Orlina
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Orlina.
Rarely, Orlina causes fever and chills. If you are experiencing fever after taking this drug then try to take mild antipyretic medicine such as paracetamol even after this fever does not subsidise then discuss with your doctor and follow his/her instructions.
The dosage of this drug may vary depending on the type of infection and severity of the infection. Usually, oral Orlina is recommended to be taken twice daily or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Precautions must be taken in patients with phenylketonuria, diabetes mellitus, and improper kidney function.
Orlina is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against gram-positive bacteria and certain gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Orlina is effective against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Enterococcus faecium.
Take or use Orlina as directed by your doctor to ensure complete eradication of infection. Do not take or use this medicine longer than prescribed duration to avoid bacterial resistance.
Yes, Orlina is safe to use, if taken in prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor.
