Oft is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Oft also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
The right dosage of Oft depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.
Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Oft as well, which are listed below. These side effects of Oft are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

Is the use of Oft safe for pregnant women?
Oft may cause moderate side effects during pregnancy. If you feel its harmful effects, then stop taking this drug immediately, and do not take Oft again without your doctor's advice.

Oft can cause moderate side effects on breastfeeding women. If you feel its side effects, then stop taking this drug and consult your doctor. Take this medicine again only if your doctor advises to do so.
What is the effect of Oft on the Kidneys?
Oft rarely affects the kidneys.

Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol while taking Oft as it can have severe side effects.
No, Oft does not contain penicillin. It is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of medication called fluoroquinolone. It used to treat several types of bacterial infection such as such as bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary, respiratory, skin, gastrointestinal, anthrax, bone, and eye infections.
Oft is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the bacterial cell division and stops the working of enzyme which is responsible for cell division. It is effective against a large number of bacteria, even those bacteria which are resistant to other drugs.
Oft should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
Oft can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Do not take Oft along with milk. It reduces the effectiveness of medicine by reducing the absorption of a drug. Please consult your doctor before consuming this medicine with milk.
