Navtil Information

Navtil is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Nausea and Vomiting, Vertigo. Secondary and off-label uses of Navtil have also been mentioned below.

Can Navtil cause anxiety?

No, Navtil does not cause anxiety. Rather, it is used for the treatment of generalized non-psychotic anxiety. However, it is important to note that Navtil should not be administered more than 20 mg for more than 12 weeks as prolonged and higher use can cause a side effect known as tardive dyskinesia (neurological uncontrolled facial and jaw movements) which manifests as a mental disorder producing symptoms such as jerking and repetitive movements of the tongue, neck and face. The symptoms might continue even after the stopping Navtil.
