Yes, Monorin is safe to use, if taken in the prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor. However, certain side effects have been associated with this drug such as stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, headache, difficulty in breathing, and constipation.
Avoid smoking while you are taking Monorin. As per clinical studies, the effectiveness of Monorin is found to be lesser in smokers as compared to non-smokers. Moreover, smoking may increase the acid secretions which can cause stomach problems. Please discuss with your doctor to know more.
Monorin belong to a group of medication called a histamine antagonist or H2- receptor blocker. It works by blocking the histamine, which prevents the cells from excessive production of acids in the stomach. Hence, this medicine is useful in protecting the stomach lining and preventing from hyperacidity.
