Lok Acid is a brand name for lorazepam. It is a controlled prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called benzodiazepine. It is short-acting potent anxiolytic. It used for the treatment of status epilepticus and insomnia (sleeplessness). It is also used for the treatment of anxiety and panic disorder (sudden, unexpected attacks of extreme fear and worry about these attacks). It is sometimes also used off-label to manage chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
Lok Acid can be taken with or without food. Preferably taken 2 -3 times a day or as advised by your doctor. The dose should be gradually increased from low to high. It may cause dizziness and drowsiness that alters the ability to concentrate. You shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery while taking medicine.
