Yes, Gemgest can cause nausea. Initially, even low doses can account for morning sickness during early pregnancy. During an early pregnancy, the progesterone levels are higher which might relax the uterus, stomach, and intestines, causing the excess accumulation of gastric acids and increase the incidences of acid reflux.
If your period starts while taking Gemgest, it is important to continue with the medication till the 14th day. However, the next progesterone cycle should be started after 14 days after the beginning of the flow.
