Furosemide Tablet is a brand name of furosemide and it comes in different forms such as tablet and injections. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drugs called loop diuretics (high-ceiling sulfonamide diuretics) or famously known as water pills. It is used for the treatment of edema (swelling due to an accumulation of excessive fluid) associated with the diseases such as congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. It is also used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).
Ideally, a tablet has to be taken once daily. It can be taken anytime but you are advised to take it in the morning because it causes more frequent urination which can disturb your sleep in the night.
