Oroside works by increasing the rate of urine formation by inhibiting the sodium and potassium reabsorption from the kidney, this causes more frequent urination than normal. An increased flow of urination leads to a decrease in blood volume and removal of this extra fluid from your body results in a decrease in edema. The decreased blood volume causes relaxation of the walls of blood vessels and this results in a decrease in blood pressure which gives relief from swelling and high blood pressure to the patient.

Yes, Oroside can cause diarrhoea but this occurs only in a few cases. It is a known side effect of this medicine. The exact cause behind this is not known. To keep yourself well hydrated, drink plenty of fluids while you are using this drug. If you are experiencing severe diarrhoea after taking this drug, consult your doctor immediately without any further delay.
