Yes, Cinort is used for the treatment of scabies. Scabies is a parasitic infection caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei. It is diagnosed by either finding out the mite, its ova or its excreta. This often leads to a lot of itching and a rash. Scabies can be prevented by treating everyone in the house at the same time because scabies may take several weeks to present as a manifestation. It is also important to avoid prolonged skin to skin contact. The laundry should be done in hot water and it should be dried at the hottest temperature setting so that the mite gets killed. Unwashable items should be put in a bag and the bag should be closed tightly. In due course of time, the mites will die a natural death and the bag articles can be used again. It is also critical that the bath and hand towels are not shared with each other. Lastly, it is important to comply with the treatment completely.

Cinort is a brand name for triamcinolone. It is a corticosteroid which is available in the form of topical preparations, injections, oral paste, and a nasal inhalation. It is used for the management of dryness, scaling, inflammation, and crusting of the skin caused by conditions like psoriasis (dry scaly patches on the body) and eczema (dry, itchy, red, and scaly rashes).
