Interaction between Food and Azomid
It is safe to take Azomid with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Azomid
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Azomid with alcohol will be.
Take Azomid exactly as prescribed by your doctor, do not exceed dosage. Food does not affect the absorption of azithromycin, one can take it with or without foods but to avoid stomach disturbances take it with a light meal. Complete the entire course of medicine.
Azomid is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
If you are allergic to Azomid then do not take it. If you have already taken it and you are experiencing allergic reactions do not delay inform your doctor immediately.
Azomid is used to treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (STD), pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, Lyme disease, Mycobacterium Avium Bacteria Infection, whooping cough, sinuses, skin, throat, and infections of the lungs. It will not work for viral infection and other pathogenic infections such as cold, flu.
Azomid is a macrolide antibiotic, it works by inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis which is necessary for bacteria to perform vital activities Thus, it stops the growth of bacteria in our body and prevents the infections. Its effects may be bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the drug concentration.
