Azmox, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Capsule. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. Secondary and off-label uses of Azmox have also been mentioned below.

Interaction between Food and Azmox

Interaction between Alcohol and Azmox
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Azmox with alcohol will be.
Yes, you can take Azmox for a sore throat, if it is caused by bacteria. It's very difficult to distinguish between a sore throat caused due to a viral or bacterial infection. Hence take it only when a doctor has prescribed it to you.
Azmox is a macrolide antibiotic, it works by inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis which is necessary for bacteria to perform vital activities Thus, it stops the growth of bacteria in our body and prevents the infections. Its effects may be bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the drug concentration.
Azmox is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
Yes, Azmox is safe to use, if taken a prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor. However, few side effects are observed such as diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain.
