Interaction between Alcohol and Azithrorite
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Azithrorite and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Azithrorite is used to treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (STD), pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, Lyme disease, Mycobacterium Avium Bacteria Infection, whooping cough, sinuses, skin, throat, and infections of the lungs. It will not work for viral infection and other pathogenic infections such as cold, flu.
No harmful interactions are found between Azithrorite and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Azithrorite.
Take Azithrorite exactly as prescribed by your doctor, do not exceed dosage. Food does not affect the absorption of azithromycin, one can take it with or without foods but to avoid stomach disturbances take it with a light meal. Complete the entire course of medicine.
Discontinuing Azithrorite on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and may cause a relapse of the infection. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor before discounting this drug.
