Azisef is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. Azisef also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Azisef. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

Interaction between Food and Azisef
It is safe to take Azisef with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Azisef
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Azisef.
Azisef is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
Azisef is a macrolide antibiotic, it works by inhibiting the bacterial protein synthesis which is necessary for bacteria to perform vital activities Thus, it stops the growth of bacteria in our body and prevents the infections. Its effects may be bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the drug concentration.
Take Azisef exactly as prescribed by your doctor, do not exceed dosage. Food does not affect the absorption of azithromycin, one can take it with or without foods but to avoid stomach disturbances take it with a light meal. Complete the entire course of medicine.
Clinically no any harmful interaction has been reported between Azisef and oral contraceptive pills. However, the interaction between these two can't be completely ignored. Please consult your doctor before taking these two medicines at the same time.
Azisef is used to treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (STD), pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, Lyme disease, Mycobacterium Avium Bacteria Infection, whooping cough, sinuses, skin, throat, and infections of the lungs. It will not work for viral infection and other pathogenic infections such as cold, flu.
