Azipos, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. Azipos also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Interaction between Alcohol and Azipos
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Azipos with alcohol.
Azipos is a brand name for azithromycin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat a bacterial infection such as throat infection, respiratory tract infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases. It is also sometimes coupled with other antibiotics and medications to effectively treat infections such as Mycobacterium avium complex infection.
No harmful interactions are found between Azipos and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Azipos.
Take Azipos exactly as prescribed by your doctor, do not exceed dosage. Food does not affect the absorption of azithromycin, one can take it with or without foods but to avoid stomach disturbances take it with a light meal. Complete the entire course of medicine.
Azipos is not given for the abscess. It is not recommended for skin and soft tissue infection. Generally, a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is given twice daily. However. it is best to consult your doctor for the right line of treatment for an abscess.
Azipos is used to treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infection, sexually transmitted disease (STD), pneumonia, bronchitis, ear infection, Lyme disease, Mycobacterium Avium Bacteria Infection, whooping cough, sinuses, skin, throat, and infections of the lungs. It will not work for viral infection and other pathogenic infections such as cold, flu.
