No, Acort is a topical corticosteroid so it should not be used on the face. Harmful skin effects can occur by applying Acort on a face like periorificial dermatitis (rash around the mouth), atrophy(degeneration of cells), and telangiectasia (tiny blood vessels causing thread-like pattern on the skin). The more potent a steroid, the more serious these adverse reactions.
High potency Acort oral dosage forms are used for the treatment of aphthous stomatitis (presence of round or oval painful ulcers on the oral mucosal membrane). It is also used for the treatment of gingival (related to gum inflammation) disorders like oral lichen planus (painful patches inside the mouth) and desquamative gingivitis (erythematous, blistering, and eroding gingival tissue).
