Interaction between Alcohol and Respira Syrup
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Respira Syrup and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
No, Respira does not contains steroids. It contains salbutamol which belongs to the class of drugs called selective beta-2-adrenoreceptor agonists (bronchodilators). It is used to provide relief from bronchospasm mainly in asthma and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
On getting symptomatic relief with Respira its recommended to check with your doctor once before discontinuing this drug.
Respira has been reported to cause low potassium (hypokalemia) but it occurs only in a few cases. It is a known side effect of this drug. You are advised to ensure adequate intake of electrolytes daily.
Yes, Respira can be taken after prednisone. No harmful drug interaction has been reported between them. You are advised to take only prescribed doses.
Respira is a bronchodilator which causes widening of bronchial smooth muscles present in lungs which get tightened causing a constriction. Due to the constriction, the air cannot pass in and out of your lungs, and the relaxation of these bronchial muscles results in dilation of airways. This drug helps the patients breathe more easily which provides relief to the patient from the symptoms such as a cough, wheezing, and chest tightness.
