Rarely Happi IT causes stomach cancer. There has been no direct relationship to establish the fact. However, stomach cancer and other cancers may develop because of recurring acid reflux for a long time for example 7 - 8 years or more. If you feel any symptoms associated with cancer such as consistent low-grade fever, weight loss due to unexplained reasons, and pain in the abdomen, do not hesitate to get it diagnosed by a physician.
This is because a long-term use of Happi IT can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Yes, Happi IT is given in combination with domperidone. A fixed-dose combination of [Medicinie] and domperidone is available in the market which is used in the treatment of GERD and other stomach related problems.
Rarely, Happi IT causes hair loss. This is a reversible side effect of Happi IT, the problem goes away after discontinuation of this drug. For partial hair loss, you are advised to use hair tonic and discuss with your doctor about a better treatment option for hair loss.
