Interaction between Food and Clop E

Interaction between Alcohol and Clop E

Clop E contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way Clop E prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
Yes, Clop E might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Clop E is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.
Clop E is a brand name of clobetasol and it comes in the form of ointment, cream, and lotion. It belongs to the class of drug known as steroids (corticosteroids). It is a prescription drug used for the treatment of skin diseases such as corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, scalp psoriasis, and plaque psoriasis.
Application of Clop E on the face must be avoided but if it has been advised by your doctor then you can use it only for a short-term period not more than 5 days because the skin on your face thins easily.
