Yes, Clobal GM might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Clobal GM is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.
No, Clobal GM alone should not be used for jock itch also known as tinea cruris because it is a fungal infection and Clobal GM is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clobal GM should not be used for the treatment of jock itch. For the treatment of jock itch, you can use a combination of Clobal GM and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Clobal GM should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Clobal GM should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
Clobal GM contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way Clobal GM prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
