Unifol is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection. It is typically used for the treatment of Megaloblastic Anemia, Nutritional Deficiency, Pernicious Anemia. The alternative uses of Unifol have also been explained below.

Interaction between Food and Unifol
Some foods when eaten with Unifol can alter the onset of actions. Discuss this with your doctor.
Interaction between Alcohol and Unifol
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Unifol with alcohol will be.
Long-term use of Unifol in doses 800 to 1200 micrograms can increase the risk of heart diseases, lung, and prostate cancer.
In rare instances, severe allergic reaction to Unifol has been reported such as hives, breathlessness, and difficulty in swallowing.
Folate is required by the human body for the synthesis, repair, and methylation of DNA. It also acts as a cofactor for various biological processes. Folate plays an important role during cell division and is required during infancy and pregnancy. Folate is required for the synthesis of healthy red blood cells. Deficiency of folate can affect all these roles and can cause anemia thus Unifol fulfills this deficiency and prevents from anemia.

Unifol should be taken at the same time, whether morning or night. It should be taken with a glass of water, with or without food.
