Tropamide, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Diarrhoea. Other than this, Tropamide has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Interaction between Alcohol and Tropamide

No, Tropamide does not lower the blood pressure (hypotension) at normal therapeutic doses but it can cause this effect if it is taken in more than the recommended doses. If you are experiencing lightheadedness or blurry vision (symptoms of low blood pressure) after taking this drug then try to sit down and take rest for a while till it subsides, also inform to the doctor without further delay.
Take over the counter Tropamide after each loose bowel movement. Do not take it more than 6 times in 24 hours. It is not recommended for long-term treatment. However, if it has been prescribed by your doctor then you are advised to take it as per his/her instructions.
