Interaction between Food and Talmin D
Taking Talmin D with food does not harm your health.
Interaction between Alcohol and Talmin D
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Talmin D and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Yes, Talmin D can be taken safely with a less sedative antihistaminic drug like cetirizine and loratadine etc. No harmful effects are reported. However, another group of antihistamine drug which causes drowsiness and sleepiness like chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine etc. should not be taken together unless and until recommended by your doctor.
As we know Talmin D is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Talmin D ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Talmin D poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Talmin D overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Talmin D inform your doctor immediately.
Talmin D is not recommended for back pain. However, It can be taken along with a painkiller for the treatment of back pain.
No harmful interactions have been reported between Talmin D and codeine. Do not take it until and unless prescribed. However, if you are experiencing any unpleasant medicinal side effects such as nausea, stomach pain, and tremors after taking Talmin D. Inform your doctor immediately.
