Interaction between Food and Rafilon 150 Tablet

Rafilon is not directly used for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is given if acid secretion increases due to IBS. IBS is managed by a combination of drug therapy like antispasmodic ( to relieve stomach pain), laxatives ( to relieve constipation), and antimotility drugs ( to relieve diarrhea).
Rafilon can be taken with or without food to prevent heartburn and acid indigestion. Take it 30 - 60 minute before meal or drinking beverages that cause indigestion. Do not take more than 2 tablets in a day unless recommended by the doctor.
Avoid smoking while you are taking Rafilon. As per clinical studies, the effectiveness of Rafilon is found to be lesser in smokers as compared to non-smokers. Moreover, smoking may increase the acid secretions which can cause stomach problems. Please discuss with your doctor to know more.
Rafilon can be taken at any time of day, but it is best to take this medicine in the morning before breakfast. However, you are recommended to follow your doctor's instructions.
